<\/a><\/p>\nHalifax-based Invisible Publishing<\/a> has a series of books on Canadian music called Bibliophonic, and they\u2019ve granted me the great privilege of writing something about one of my all-time favourite bands, Ottawa indie-rock legends the Wooden Stars<\/a>.<\/p>\n The book tells the story of the band: their music, their career and their influence on the Canadian indie scene. All the members of the band, along with a number of their colleagues including Julie Doiron and Arcade Fire\u2019s Tim Kingsbury and Jeremy Gara, were kind enough to share their stories with me.<\/p>\n You can buy the book on Amazon<\/a>, Chapters\/Indigo<\/a>, McNally Robinson<\/a>, or\u2014my personal preference\u2014order it from your local independent bookstore<\/a>.
